A Simple, Country Home
~ my favourite place to be ~
Homemaking is my passion. I think of myself as a home maker. A featherer and a nester. I love making my home feel cosy and comfortable and a space that my family and friends love to spend time in. I am a collector of old things – reloved treasures and I spread these throughout my home to use and enjoy and to help tell the story of my home and the people who live in it.
My philosophy on home making and creating a cosy space for your loved ones to dwell is best described by this quote by Stacey Risenmay:
If you wait until you have enough money to decorate and make your home your own it will never happen. If you wait until you can afford to buy everything new you are missing the point. It is the old, the new, the made, the hand-me-down, the collected, the worn (but loved) things in your home that make it your own.
Here are some blog posts to get you on your way around my simple, country home.
There are building tales, reloved treasures, moodboards, decorating and more amongst these pages. Enjoy!
