Last week we had a lovely spring day with friends. I always love visiting my friend’s place in the Spring. She lives in a beautiful part of the valley, peaceful and pretty. We don’t get out there often enough but when we do it’s always such a lovely day.
I’ll take you on a little tour of our day….
These massive green bottles sit outside a cute little mud brick shed. Aren’t they gorgeous?
My friend has this beautiful patch of daffodils under some deciduous trees. She picked a bunch each for another friend and I to take home with us. So lovely of her. I’m a little possessive when it comes to picking my jonnies and dafs. I’m sure that once my patch has multiplied nicely I’ll be more generous. Surely I will be?
Aren’t they pretty?
I couldn’t resist this shot of the rustic, well worn breadboard and array of metal trays all propped up against her fuel stove. My friend has a knack of placing things in this funky, eye-candy-to-me way.
And what a lovely lunch we had served up. A delicious crustless quiche, salad and an assortment of yummy homemade, fermented stuff – sauerkraut, kimchi and zucchinis. So moreish.
What a lovely way to spend a spring day during the first week of the holidays.
How about you? How have you been spending these Springy days?
